Kat
If you like it now you will love it later.

I found with mine that it took about 500 miles to 'break in'. No idea what is actually 'breaking in', but you will notice that the slight metallic quality of the sound is replaced with a lower baritone bellow in 500 miles and then a bit more around 2500 miles. Others have mentioned this, and i certainly noticed it.

Two years of having it, and I still roll down my window to listen to the sound each day as I pass by an overpass!! Enjoy.

I hope somebody with a e93 335i will do a video like Kat. I'm thinking PE or I here the sport mufflers sound pretty good but a bit softer on the bigger motor.

Sweet Summertime Music -E93 328i BMW Performance Exhaust

No offense, but that exhaust didn't sound nice at ALL. Was that video a stock exhaust? Was there a before and after thing?

Kat, you did us a solid by doing both the before & after sound test.

Thanks. I'm in the midst of buying a winter tire package & this gets bumped to the top! And w/ people saying you can get on eBay, etc. "cheap", I may just throw one of these on too! Somebody said earlier, "It's only money!"

P.S. love the bird noises in the beginning. Had to rewind to make sure it wasn't a rattle or key chain.

@Riviera, that muffler delete reminds me of all the coil-cut slammed, half-primered Civics buzzing around town!

Hey Kat, sounds great. I have not hung out here in a while but it's nice to see your still posting on here. I've been toying with the idea of getting a PE for the 328 and it sounds really good.

Thanks! Good to see one of the veterans pop his head in the door. When did you acquire a 328?

Stones,
Glad the video is an asset to you. The birds weren't intentional, but when I heard them in the vid, I decided to leave them in. Thanks for noticing.

Very nice video - I've been meaning to get the BMW Performance Intake and Exhaust kits sometime on my E90.

I have the M performance exhaust on the M3 and I love it. Your's sounds great. If I can pick one up used on the forums I may have to do it.

On the 328, I decided I didn't want to daily drive the M3 anymore and the 328 was a good deal. It's a 2011 sedan, Alpine white, black leather, sport package. I bought it as a CPO in May with 22K miles. The M3 has become more of a weekend/track car for me now.

Plus I need 4 doors for the our little one. She's getting too heavy to load into the back seat of a coupe.

Hey TX Kat!

Kat:

Sonorous sound!! My E93 sounds wimpy by comparison.

Here's an open invite for you and yours if you plan to be in the Austin area on any second Sunday of the month. A gonzo Cars 'N' Coffee meet is held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm at the gorgeous Oasis restaurant on Lake Travis. The setting is superb and they attract 150+ cars ranging from the ultra exotic to the fun plain Janes (Johns if you prefer). Last week 35 BMW's attended.

The restaurant has a varied menu and great lake views but pray for rain. C ya?
