** UPDATE: Problem Solved, see post #8 for resolution **

I updated my iPhone software to IOS 6.1.4 and my phone contact list stopped synching with my iDrive. The only contact listing that displays in iDrive is the "My Number" listing of which I don't need to know! I synch my iPhone with iCloud for contacts, so I turned off the iCloud synch and entered a test contact. I deleted and paired the phone again with iDrive via Bluetooth and still, only the My Number listing displays. This is the only problem I am having, but it is painful because it forces me to use the actual phone to look up and dial numbers.

Anyone else having this problem and knows of a solution?

BTW, getting rid of the iPhone is not a solution., YES, I beat you to it!

I had the same problem. I told my iPhone to forget the pairing and repaired. Works fine now.

What do you mean by "forget the pairing and repaired"? Can you provide some details?

Hi sorry. If you go into the settings on your iPhone. Then into the Bluetooth menu you will see all the devices your phone is registered to via Bluetooth. If you see your car in the list. Should be called BMW xxxxxxx. Simply select it via pressing the arrow to the right of its name. Then at the very top of the new screen is "Forget this Device".

Once you click on this you will need to re pair your car and phone next time you are within range. If you need help with that part let me know.

Thanks

Rob

Oh OK, yes I have done that several times, but still I only get the "My Number" listing. Someone else said they had to do this several times before it worked for them but I am not having any luck ;(. Thanks for clarifying!

When I was using the update iOS6.1.3, I had that issue, but since I've updated to iOS6.1.4 it has seemed to solve the problem.

Problem Solved!!

When I upgraded the software my bluetooth settings changed; I am not sure why. Anyway the "All Contacts" synch option was not selected, so the contacts were not synching with iDrive. Follow these easy instructions if you are having this problem:
1) Un pair the phone from your car. On your phone goto Settings then Bluetooth; click the arrow to the right of your BMW connection, and select "Forget this device"
2) Wnen you pair the device again, click on the arrow again, make sure Synch Contacts is ON and select All contacts. You can find more on this setting at this iLounge discussion thread: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/tip...-contact-sync/

BTW, this is most likely the solution Apple would have provided me if I had paid them $50 for tech support (JERKS)!! You just got the solution for Free!
