Thanks for the info. I just replaced my rear tires with run flats again. Will changing just the stuts make a noticable difference?

absolutely, tires and shocks affect ride comfort probably the most. am i missing something? maybe seats, but that's a secondary damper...

Yup. Both pieces of the equation help.

Do yourself a huge favor - whatever it takes, pay off this car, and bring yourself to a situation where you owe nothing on it. Then, you'll be able to negotiate for your next car free and clear of any previous debt. Otherwise, you're a giant target for a dealership to abuse you and leave you in a terrible financial situation.
unless he gets huge repair bills and is paying down a coaster.

I just bought out my 335 I cab lease with 100,000 km or 60k miles. HPFP water pump replaced just after buying car new...have replaced about 6 to 8 tires (bought a tire warranty, best investment ever made).

Put in Mtech front apron and rear aero bumper just to change the look...car looks great!

Love the car why buy brand new and lose value right off the bat to depreciation. Don't like the style of the new sedans anyway. Bought an extended warranty bumper to bumper and tire warranty for run flats. Hope to drive car for at least another 2 to 3 years...then probably go into a used 6 series cab. Don't think I will ever buy new again.

with an 09 you have protection from the major repairs (HP fuel pump, injectors, wastegate, etc) so those wont burn you. 16k for that is dog sh!t, they are going to clean it up, put 500 bux in it, (brakes, fluids, filters) and put it on the lot for 22k.

keep it, be proactive on the little things so you dont get stuck with a larger repair bill, goto an indy shop instead of dealer.

Great idea, but I have $50 that says she will not "downgrade" from a 335i to a $6,000 4-banger.

By rolling over the debt from your previous car, you have only delayed the inevitable. You are simply $10K underwater with your vehicle. There's no escaping this reality. You are also driving a car that is expensive to maintain. From a strictly financial perspective, you should dump the BMW, buy a lower mileage, better gas mileage, lower maintenance cost car. This strategy will allow to get out of debt quicker and get back to driving the ultimate driving machine in the future.
