Post BMW M6 Gran Coupe featured on Motor Trend's Ignition

The latest episode of Motor Trend's Ignition series takes a look at the all-new BMW M6 Gran Coupe. The writer/host of the episode is Jonny Lieberman who wasn't all too impressed with the BMW M5 in his Head 2 Head review last fall. I don't want to spoil your watching of the video but lets just say he has a totally different take when it comes to the new BMW M6 Gran Coupe.

Anyone out there have an M6 Gran Coupe on order or thinking about getting one?

I placed my order 2 weeks ago and it was accepted at the plant 1 week ago. I still
don't have a delivery date yet. Hoping for E/M August. Great video-just makes me
anxious to get my car!
BTW- I went with triple black and opted for the 343m wheels.

So basically BMW has become Mercedes, chasing volume and Luxury. The old BMW M is dead, no more light weight fun to drive cars, instead, we have these cars that are over 2 tons masquerading as sports cars....

I have embraced the change. I got an M6 because of performance+luxury. If it was a pure performance car without the luxury aspect, I would have opted for a different car. That said, it would have been great if the M6 weighed about 500 lbs. less.
