E63 / E64 6 Series (2003 - 2013)
The E63/E64 BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations.

This just happened to one of the members on the M6 board. Unfortunately, there is no easy fix.

Have a look here. http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e63...-off-wth.html/

that member would be me.......

what year is your car?

IF its an 06-08, there is a good chance that you can bake and remove the lenses cover, pop it back in with a dap of super glue.....(is VERY easy)

if you have an 09+ where they use the "one time" sealant (which is grey color instead or black) then you are SOB like me.....because you cant open those...well you can....but it'll never be a tight seal ever again....

cost.....$1300 EACH!!!!

my driver side fell off last month.....bought a replacement from a junk yard for $900....and the lense was damaged during shipping...got a full refund....and just ordered a new one for $1300.....

and it got worst last weekend.....the passange side fell off as well

I am going to take it in BMW and ask for a "good will" Mine is a 2009 M6 with 50k miles (warranty just expired in April)

Wow, that really sucks! Both of them crapping out like that. I hope the dealer does something for you, it just seems real unusual for a car as new as a '09.

that does suck - and seems like a prime candidate to push for a goodwill fix as you mentioned, and at least split the cost with you.
