Flasher Lights Problem: 1995 E34 525i

So all of a sudden my left turn signal lights [and flasher] go out. No flashing/clicking sound, no lights. Whether I use turn signal or emergency flasher, no sound, no lights. Looked at the wiring loom in the rear, don't see any frayed or broker wires. Both bulbs [front and back] seem to be OK, but haven't proven that yet, just visual inspection. No obvious break in the filament, or burnt look to them. Understand from the posts on this area that it could be the hazard flasher, or fuses, but the fuses for these features have been tested, and they are fine. Ideas? Thanks folks.

Cool

OK< so it appears that the flasher itself may be malfunctioning, but can it malfunction only as to one side of the car? And where can I find the method of removing the old flasher? Thanks everyone, anyone?

Now I'm confused about which "flasher" unit is implicated by my facts. Is it the flasher turn signal unit in the steering column, or the flasher fuse in the fuse box under the hood? How do I go about checking these two possibilities out? Thanks.

There are relays dealing with the system in the front fusebox. Find out which ones are dealing with the turn indicators and swap them out with good ones.
