Will these fit - advice needed please

We have just purchased a 2003 X5 diesel and it had hideous 24" wheels on it which we changed back to the original wheels to make it legal but would like to put a nicer set of wheels on it.

I have seen a set for sale and they say that they will fit but on reading some of the threads on this forum I am not convinced and am asking for advice.

They are OEM 212 19" x 9 - pcd, 5 x 120, centre bore 74.0mm, M 14 x 1.25 bolt thread.

What other options do I have?

Thanks
Lorraine

Lorraine, you have an e53 X5...not an e70 X5. If you want to mount BMW oe wheels without any modification...you need to look at wheels for the e53.

The e70 X5 has a larger wheel hub (74.1mm) versus the e53's smaller 72.56mm wheel hub. The e70 wheels have a larger opening (the hub)...so something would be required to take up that space...something like a "hub centric ring"...which will reduce the opening in the wheel so that it fits correctly on your smaller hub.

Is this the wheel you're looking at: http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/212

Thank you QSilver7 for the quick response, yes they are the same wheels.

The Ebay seller stated that they would fit but being a total novice to BMW's I wanted to check it out first. Thank you, you have saved us money and heartache.

The original ones we have are pretty plain (after 24" BLING anything would seem to be) can you suggest another original BMW option?

The link in the previous reply was "live"...you could have clicked on the tab for X wheels, then selected the E53 X wheels to see all that were available and what size they came in. If you see a wheel style you like, then you can shop using that wheel style number in your search.

Here's the link again, but narrowed down to the e53 X5 wheels: http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/X/X5-E53

If youlike the e70's Style 212 wheel...you may like the e53's Style 132 wheel (it's a 19" wheel, too)...the Style 63 wheel is also 19"

Thank you again, that's the exact information I was after

I'm still trying to find my way around this forum (over 50 and female) that's my excuse anyway. Trying to learn all the controls on the X5 is another challenge. I'm used to VW kombis where a clock is an extra.
