Car does not store Logic7 settings?

Guys,

I am hoping you can help me with something. Whenever i change my settings on my Logic 7 set like fader, balance, speed volume etc it forgets these settings when i turn off my car. This is getting really annoying.

Would someone know why this is? Am i doing something wrong? Do i need to actively store these settings somewhere or should the system remember the last setting?

Thanks!

I'm guessing at this, but perhaps there is something that can be coded. I would think PAPER may know.

all the settings for the car are linked to the indivdual keys. Make sure that you are using the same key to adjust it! Also your key may need to be relinked to the car to work (comfort access, etc) with the settings. Does it remember your radio presets?

Thanks guys,

I am the only one using the car and am using only one key. What can i do to test if this is key related? Do i need to code my key?

If you have never had this problem before then it could be
1 of 2 things =

if you have a comfort access key it could be the battery , if not
it may be your cars battery .

I just bought the car. No comfort access.

When i use either one of the keys i got with the car it does not change any settings (mirror, seat, radio presets) or anything.

Do these keys need to be enabled or something to actually store settings?

Are the keys somehow related to the "1" and "2" memory setting on the center console?

Confused...

yes your keys are connected to the car memory .
I would suggest that set everything in the car to
your satisfaction . Then push the M for 2 seconds
& then hit 1 or 2 to store it in .

be sure to set your seat , steering wheel , mirrors , radio ,
A/C settings , & anything else in the car .

Hi Paper,

Thanks for the suggestion. I did as you say and made sure i had different settings for chair, mirrors, steering wheel, temperature and radio presets when i stored this in Memory 2.

Selecting "1" again reverts chair, mirrors and steering settings wheel but NOT temperature and radio presents. the latter two stay the same and selecting "1" or "2" do not make them change at all?

I am almost positive there is a setting that needs to be coded or your key itself has issues.

I am not even using the key. Just pressing the "1" and "2" buttons on the center console drivers side...

Your key fob stores all kinds of data: VIN, car info such as color, warranty information, and fault codes. It also saves your language preferences, audio, seat & climate settings. These individual settings can be programmed for I think up to 6 keys. And to be more accurate...the car stores some settings that are linked to what key is being used. Like I said before...if no configurations are being "stored/linked" to your key then I am pretty sure there is something wrong with the key OR the key is not identified and setup with a config.

Tried that as well. No difference.

It remembers the last settings as it seems when i park the car but it does not store settings in car memory "1" or "2"...??

How would i go about determining or fixing this? I have an ODB2 cable and can run software to code. Just not sure which program to use and how to do it...

Have you previously coded your car before? There may be a value for key memory. Maybe in CAS? Not sure if E65 has CAS off the top of my head.

I have not coded my car before. I'll have a look myself. I believe there is a CAS module indeed...
