MMI Screen and radio not working.

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July!
I did a search and could not find a thread relevant to my question. I apologize if there is another thread out there I could not find....
My MMI Screen is currently not working. The menu appears correctly, but once I press on an option the next menu option does not appear. No Nav or radio appears, plus no sound.
The problem began as the plug in power outlets were not working. So I assumed it must be the fuses. As I was trying to locate the correct fuses, I incorrectly read the symbol in the trunk fuse box and inserted a fuse in location 66 and 67. Next thing I know, the problem occurred. Was this a coincidence or a completely unrelated event?
I finally located the correct fuses and replaced them. The plug in power outlets work now, but no radio, sound and MMI screen does not work. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

did you open the fuse box in the glove compartment ?
if yes you might have hit the fibre optic loop , Try resetting
it .

Hi Paper! thanks for the reply!
Yes I also opened and replaced the correct fuses in the glove compartment and had to move the loop to get to the correct fuse. Kinda strange they would place it in such a way that makes it so difficult to get to the fuses. How do I reset the fiber optic loop?
Thanks again!

put your key in & push start , but do not start the car ( don't hold the brake )
then unplug the loop & wait 2 minutes , then plug it back in .

I tried to reset it as per the instructions and it didnt seem to solve the problem :-(
By unplugging, you meant unplugging from the socket that connects the 2 wires to the plastic circular loop correct?
A detail I did not mention before is that I also get an error message for the BMW SOS malfunctioning as the car is started.
What else do you suggest I try?
I'll try the reset again.

you should buy an extra fibre loop & start checking the
items on your Most fibre optic line . You should start
with your TCU & your SVS module .
