The gripper is slightly lower than I'd like to it be(had no choice).
It is not hard to do however be real careful. Drilling too deep can create a lot of damage. Be real sure of the space behind the panel. DO NOT DRILL BLINDLY. These were made for the older X3's and mounted onto the pull off panel that allowed for safe drilling. The F25 pull off panel is contoured not allowing the gripper to be attached there. Is the gripper worth it?. Only if you want one. I like having one.

I think you are right. It might leave an indent. Also the cargo cover might interfere.

Grocery Gripper follow up. I went shopping today. The gripper did it's job. Bad part...now my wife wants me to go shopping all of the time.
BUT....the X is a lot faster with the Gripper
