Secondary air pump. German auto fix?

I have the secondary air pump carbon build up. I watched the youtube video from German auto. I was wondering if anybody has bought the German auto secondary air cleaner kit. To fix this problem. Did it work?

Thanks for the help!!

I also ordered the kit!!! I did receive the kit this week. I have not tried it yet. I had a friend clear the code. The secondary air pump only turns on when it is cold out. I think it has to be below 61 degrees. So as soon as the light comes back on. I am going to use the kit on the car to hopefully fix this carbon build up!!! Let me know how the kit works for you!!

Thanks for responding!!!!

Very interested in this repair. Has anyone had success with this? I have a 03' 745 that won't pass emissions until I get this fixed...

Great to hear, thanks for posting. How long did it take you to perform the procedure? Was it difficult?

SAP system is an emissions system that runs on a cold start, ie after the car sit overnight.

Has nothing to do with the drive ability or functioning of the car other than for state emissions inspection.

All German Auto Secondary Air Cleaner Kit

Just finished the AGA cleaning procedure for secondary air. I found it to be very difficult. It took me about 8 hours and I only completed the driver side air bank. I am hopeful the code does not come back so I can pass emissions.

7Owner, did you ever get to the other side with the secondary air cleaner and did your codes clear? Just curious. I have that kit sitting on my dinning room table and hearing different storys. I am gonna try it myself.

I have the P0492 error. I am considering buying the kit. It looks like a few of you bought it, but I only read about a couple of you doing it. Did it work? How long did it take? Thanks in advance for your insights!

AGA Kit

It, unfortunately, did not work for me. I have a good secondary air pump, brand new secondary air valves, new hoses, smoke test proved no issues, CCV's, and flushed the secondary air passages a few times to no avail. I must admit there was plenty of black stuff coming out those pipes so it does clean it out. Mine were just too far gone at 80k miles. Bought it used at 58k miles so I kind of bit it. Love the car otherwise. HEAD JOB is next along with all the extra goodies they find. The good thing is I went through the process of elimination. That was worth it. I will tell you it is a pain in the butt to get a couple of screws out of there. You will have to be very crafty and patient. Takes hours after the intake manifold is off unless you have done it before. Quite honestly it was a bitch.
