iPhone 5 integration

Dealer told me that there was an update coming that enables "full" integration of the iPhone 5 in my 2011 X5 35d. Currently the phone works via Bluetooth just fine, but I would like its a less desirable to have to wake up the phone to change stuff.

Any news on this?

Not sure what "full" integration means, but the 5 works just like the 4S did in my '12 X5.

May be referring to the snap-in adapter.

Good point - you're probably right.

iPhone 5 integration

Not sure what I am talking about actually. Dealer told my that the iPhone 5 had to be operated via Bluetooth. Just plugged it in via the USB and it seems to work fine. It doesn't seem to exactly duplicate the controls native to the phone, but its not bad at all.

Thanks again.

iPone 5 Plug in

My dealer told me that the snap in adapter for the iPhone 5 is due to be released in the 3rd quarter (July-Aug-Sept) time frame. I think the adapter adds some features, but the important one for me is that it allows the iPhone to use the antenna on the top of the truck for cell connectivity, which should help in fringe areas. It also better integrates some of the BMW apps.
