Does the outside heat affect the electronics?

I have read through the search results - read the DIY on searches post - Still haven't found one on outside heat.

I am wondering if the outside temperature, if hot enough could have an affect on the electronics. such as the sensors.

I live in the Desert and haven't had any issues or indicators on any kind until yesterday. I was out in the heat for most of the day (7-8 hours) and the car was reading 124-6 on its digital readout.

by the end of the day it did the rough idle at stop high rev and then stall. It did this three times. there was a high pitch noise from the starter when restarting (it sounded like I was over cranking) My girlfriend was driving so we switched and I drove home a little more aggressively and there were no more issues since.

So I have read about the sensors and am wondering if the heat could have had an affect or should I start looking at this as an early sign of similar issues posted.

I really appreciate any comments or feedback, thanks

I doubt that the heat would have that effect based on the fact that the car is test in extreme heat and cold during the design and build stages but then again you never know. I would wait for it to occur again and maybe get the car read to see if their are any codes. I remember a few years ago I had a similar issue that occurred once and never again.

I live in Phoenix. Heat has never done a thing to any of our cars, ever.

i went through the day without any issues. Wasn't as hot today - car temp only read 116 - I also wasn't out as long today. I'm going to do as pass427 suggests - keep going and hope it doesn't happen again.

Yesterday was hotter than normal and I was driving all day in the Desert. It only acted funny at the end of the day and nothing since. I'm not familiar about when it produces codes - would it have made one from stalling yesterday?
