Most people love the look or hate it and decide based on that.

Starting in 2013 it includes a passive sport suspension on RWD cars only, and it is the only way to get this suspension in the US. It included multi contour seats when it was first offered but they were dropped in 2013. The sport seats pictured in US brochures with this package are not available it the US at all.

I like the cosmetic look of the M-Sport package. In fact, I just ordered my 2014 with M-Sport.

I ordered it on my 2014 535i primarily for the suspension and slightly lowered ride height. The edgier look will set it apart from the other BMW's in my neighborhood. I can't say that I love the styling of the front end, but the non-msport front end doesn't do much for me either.

Mine is currently on a ship to the U.S., which is moving far too slowly...

Not sure yet. Probably buy unless they have great August lease deals, which is unlikely for the 2014's.

Love it. I do not buy BMWs sans sport suspension. The non-sport F10 5er is significantly less sport handling oriented than previous non-sport 5ers. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Just different. BMW made a conscious decision to make the 5er more appealing to Merc E Class buyers. The non-sport 5er still out handles the E Class by a wide margin.

I would like to have the sport package cause the way I drive. I have a heavy foot and tend to drive fast. I need something that has more durability.

I don't think you can look at durability as a measurable concept when it comes to the M-Sport Package. I mean durability? Its not a towing package

The bigger rims and lower profile tires transfer more with M-Sport than without, but its also designed to do that so not sure it makes it less durable.

I'd say a non-Sport package would be more durable if anything. Less inclined to have wheel/tire issues, softer suspension so less harshness makes it into the cabin or pressures the chassis, less prone to scraping curbs, etc.

I just got rid of my M Sport (2011) and got a new non M. The looks were fine, but the wheels were non-stop hassles. I would pay extra to not have the M Sport package!

Actually I rephrase that.... sort of. As an all-arounder I still think it's the best car I've driven, but the 640i GC with every single option available on it was right up there as well. Better in some aspects, and in some aspects I felt like I wanted to get back into the 5er. They're basically the same car so I guess that makes sense.

Funnest car I've driven was a Ferrari F430 around a track.

I love it. Shopped around for a change as my lease is ending. For me, nothing really hit all points like my 535i M Sport...so, I'm buying it.

I liked it enough to order one, ED scheduled 9/13/2013.
I like the availability of the passive sport suspension for an F10. For 2014 you are forced to get the full Dynamic handling package with ARS and adjustable dampers to firm up the ride/handling. This handling package costs more than the full MSport package. I'm trusting K-A's and other poster's advice on the merits of this passive suspension, I wasn't able to find one to test drive. Other benefits for me are the shadowline trim and the availability of the very sweet looking Nappa leather mocha interior at no additional charge with the MSport package. Both of these cosmetic additions I feel will compliment nicely my carbon black exterior. But the cosmetic changes are purely subjective and I think you need to see a MSport in person to decide if you like it better than the standard car.
I'm not as excited about being forced to have the car delivered with 19" wheels and the well documented RFT problems. My plan is to swap out the RFTs for Michelin PSS as soon as I take re-delivery and run dedicated snows and 18" wheels during the Boston pothole season.
I miss my beloved E39 530I Sport(after 265K miles) and I hope that this F10 with the passive MSport suspension will be a worthy successor!
If you don't go with the MSport, I would say the DHP is a must, but that again depends on attributes you are looking for in your new car.

Of course this is all assuming that the passive suspension is being carried over from 2013. I saw one reference on the German site that appeared to confirm this but has any additional evidence of this been discovered for the U.S. bound 2014 LCI 5 series?

The 2014 will have a better passive suspension according to articles that I've read.
