New bmw connected app in apple App Store

Has anyone tried it? If installed, will we lose even more functionality?

Nah it's allright. You can tweet or make certain facebook posts from the NAV. Yippee.

On a slightly more useful note, it connects the NAV to ical if you have an iphone. May also do that on other phones but I don't know.

You can click on an appointment in your calendar and if the location has an address, click on that and navigate there.

I updated, and didn't lose any functionality.

Many people in here have stated this is a "useless" app, but they're wrong imo. It's not the best and has a ways to go, but there are some things that work very well. I like having programmed one of the buttons in my AH3 to simply touch and pull up my daily calendar for work. I also like the "Last mile" and other cool features, but I have never gotten ECO PRO Analyser to work.

It only works with the new NBT NAV system.

How can I tell if my 2013 AH3 has the newest NBT Nav? I would have assumed it did. I think it was built in Feb of 2013 if I recall correctly...

I really wish BMW would make their apps and electronics so much easier to understand.

Saying "New NBT nav" is all relative and useless when trying to compare multiple versions of iDrive.

The 3-Series either have a CCC (pre-2009), a CIC (2009-2013 non AH3) or NBT (2014-on) iDrive...

You should have NBT. The AH3 was upgraded before the other models for some reason.

The AH3 was equipped standard with an NBT iDrive since introduction.

My guess is that the AH3 (hybrid) features/animations requires the software and widescreen of the NBT iDrive, thus it is standard. The main benefit of that is that the Navigation/BMW Apps features are built-in but not enabled if not ordered/equipped from factory.

Each requires a set of FSC activation codes from the dealer to enable.

Thanks everyone, - my car does have the BMW Apps option. Everything else works in the BMW Connected Apps on my iPhone while plugged into the car except the ECO PRO analyzer. That function is supposed to track your last three trips, keep a record of your most efficient routes, provide the smoothed lines of driving habits, etc. but it doesn't...I've tried clearing the data, reseting it, etc.

I suppose another question to ask is: has anyone else with an AH3 gotten this feature to work?

The Eco Pro Analyzer only works when the car is in Eco Pro mode, so I am just checking to make sure you are in that mode when attempting to use it.

Yep - confirmed in fact this morning that I was in ECO PRO mode from the time I left my garage all the way to my office parking lot 47 miles away. Still doesn't seem to catalog the data.
