Tunein works for me in that it actually plays, but it does not show any of my several dozen favorites, plus it does not accept saving stations to favorites. It's got to be a bug of some sort. I wrote to them the app's contact us. Others should, too.

I noticed the same.

It seems to me that the latest TuneIn app update included only BMW Apps inclusion/switching but not the actual TuneIn app.

Try looking under "Radio". That's where mine showed up.

I see the app in the screen but it does nothing at the iPhone. It just hangs at the initial connection screen. I can go back to Web Radio, though.

I'm deleting it from my iPhone and reinstalling it. I think that whatever piece of code that enabled the "additional apps" at the iDrive screen messed something up in this app.

That is what I see as well. I tried to delete the app and then reinstall it, but same results.

Rhapsody works, but not TuneIn.

And Rhapsody only shows up under CD Multimedia. Go figure.

Its off subject a bit - sorry - but does the next nav (NBT?) have better live traffic? To me that would be more granular info and a nav that will actually re-route based on that info. I spoke with a rep from the traffic provider at the NAB show in Vegas (they do traffic for broadcast as well) and they told me the BMW people are very reluctant to use the data and the overall opinion is that "stay the course" is usually best. Where I live in LA the routing from an app like Waze is almost alway much better. Kills me to use my iphone to double check my nav but it almost always saves me time to do so if its a bad driving time of day (ie anything other than late night).

Yes it has better live traffic (they call it "advanced real time traffic") You can turn on a feature for live re routing based on traffic and I have personally seen that happen in my wifes ActiveHybrid 5 (which already has the NBT).

So interesting. Tunein works fine for me, it's just insufficiently crafted (missing the ability to locate or save to favorites).

Maybe you need to try updating the ConnectedDrive software through the USB console input? I did that almost the first day I got the car. here's a link:

I have the latest Combox update for the E92-chassis -it should be the same as in the non-NBT F30-chassis.

I think that the download was corrupted or this is a very particular app bug in TuneIn as Rhapsody works 100% via additional apps.

Yes ... I should have mentioned originally I was using tunein pro.

After using this for the last week or so its all a bit buggy. App switching is really hit and miss. Sometimes it just crashes the outgoing or incoming app. It slow and clunky. I went back to web radio within connected.

I like to search for, save and edit my TuneIn favorites on my laptop anyway. They should show up in your car after you set it up.

Incredibly, another Tunein update (3.8) was released without the problem of inability of display or ability to save favorites fixed.

I wrote them after 3.6 was released with this bug; three releases later (3.6.1, 3.7, 3.8) the stupid thing is still not fixed.

Or am I the only one experiencing this problem?

I have been TuneIn (regular not pro) and since v 3.7 I have been able to see my favorite stations and add new ones (note: podcasts seem not to appear).

Really? Would you be willing to take a picture of your iDrive screen showing your Tunein favorites appearing and post it in your reply? I have had significant electronics problems since I have gotten my car, which the dealer refuses to acknowledge. A photo would be really helpful.

Also, which iPhone do you have? Is it an iPhone 4, an iPhone 4s, an iPhone 5, or something else?

Yes I can, both when I go to the website and when I use Tunein on my iPhone or iPad directly. It's when I plug the phone into the car and the car takes over the Tunein app that it doesn't read any of my favorites.
