Probably won't look good. Let me know when they arrive and I'll take them off your hands

Seriously can't wait to see pics of them mounted on the car. I am still debating about 20" wheels. Hope I decide before winter...

Over the years, I've asked people who have had 22's on their cars (BMW, MBZ, Lambo, Audi, Lexus, Porsche, Nissan, etc.), including asking people I know in the wheel business Shoreline Motoring, Wheels Boutique, By Design, etc. and all have said 22's will sometimes be a more noticeable ride in terms of bumps in the road, road noise, etc. Also that they are heavier than what comes on the car.

Now for the question of the 80%. Of the dozen or so people I've talked to, 3/4 or about 80% of them ALL said, they noticed a difference and that the ride quality was noticeably different - what percentage or how bad, I don't know. It was not 80% worse by putting on 22's. It was not better either. Some people said depends on the road it can be 50% worse, others said depends on my tires, etc. This wasn't a scientific survey. It's simply an observation.

Make sense? That's also why BMW's largest wheel for the 7 is a 21" wheel, not 22"s. I have 21"s on my 2012 GL550 AMG style wheels, and I love them, w/295/40's Continental Cross Contact's. They are dope as hell, and I've taken it to Anza Borrego off roading and they held up great. I love the way 22's look (when tastefully done), but you have to compromise look for the ride quality, and a whole host of other issues because they are so heavy.

So let's agree to disagree and move on bro. Don't take it personally CABimmerNation.

1" difference in rims is not considerable IMO. You have to keep in mind those 21" wheels are cast not forged hence heavy as **** and a 22" if you do 3pc will ride better and will be lighter. Side walls were almost identical when I had 21" oem bmws on my 6 series then later went to 22".

Wow..I am amazed at the eclectic tatse of the 7 series owner. Personally I think the gold makes it really pop. And the rims, which look like 30"'s, do just enough to take it slightly over the top for that final touch. That owner doesnt just have swag, he has Swagger!

Apparently this is a new craze called "donking" your car.

Thanks all, I've done 22s on my M6 before and didn't feel much difference between the 20-21-22 setup. (Yes tried all lol). 22s look fantastic on this boat...
Where's the side profile pics???

Quarterto8, were you in Chicago today? I thought I saw a modded white 7 series heading into the city around 3 pm with your license plate. Car looked great, awesome wheels with major lips.

I was in the black e36 heading to my office, left the F02 at home.

I have noticed since getting my 22's that ride quality is no different than my stock 19's with run flats. I also increased my mpg about 2-3 miles a gallon as I no longer drive fast to avoid potholes
