You are a car geek when you use these buzzwords

I like most of you read all the car mags and read these forums and have noticed all the little buzzwords we have all picked up. I thought I would start a list of ones I notice and would like others to add their own buzzwords you use or see used often. I thought this would be fun.

"Tick all the boxes" seems to be everywhere these days, especially in the age of online configurators.

Acronyms without definitions are like a condoms without instructions. Worthless to those who have never seen them before.

Torque Steering? Good lordy, what bimmer are you driving? Or does the X drive produce torque steering? If so, another reason not to order it.

Outside the gearhead community those will NOT refer to what you expect. Hell, they often don't even within the community. Be careful when ordering.

"Pull the trigger" on a purchase/lease. Perhaps not exclusive to cars but annoyingly common nonetheless.

(Technically, all of this would be more akin to jargon than buzzwords. )

I was referring to non-bimmers, for example, Honda FWDs or Minis.

You picked some of my favorites; here are two more, dear to me: ZSP and ZMT--for those of us who place factory orders for sport package and manual tranny.

It would be nice if folks would include definitions for the more obscure ones, IMHO (in my humble opinion).

Me too.

Catback - refers to the exhast system, from the catalytic converter (cat) all the way back to the exhaust tips.
