Exclamation poor fuel consumption and Juddering X drive

I recently bought a six month old X3 2.0D xdrive.
Couple of bad things that are irritating me. I am a careful driver doing a mix of driving (av speed shows 60km ph) yet my fuel consumption is over 9l per 100 kms. I bough the car on the basis this would be around 6l per 100kms so am really disappointed.

Also, I changed the the front tyres and the car developed a judder. The dealer told me that, even though I still had at least 200kms of tread on the back tyres, that with the X drive you had to change all tyres at the same time. I changed the rear ones two weeks after the fronts and although better, I still get a nasty juddering when turning corners, especially at very slow speeds.

I'm taking it to the dealer for a service but thought i'd see if anyone had any ideas or exeriences so I could fight my corner with them.
