I finally found the part number of 12, 13 and 14. I searched the part number of the motor and look at all the diagrams with it. The one for the E34 had the screw thought I was looking for, but unfortunately it was not what I thought it was . Now it looks like I am going to have to go to home depot and start screwing random screws until I find one that works. I really hope that works because I do not want to have to buy a new pair of m3 mirrors.

That is why I always wear a mask and use protection. Some of those screws are sharp.

Yes, I know. When I said that I was going to be screwing in random screws I was referring to the ones on that board.

Would never have guessed the color would look so good. Regarding the orange peel...probably better to get some cure time first??? Great job particularly considering you did it all the way.

It's a good start, man. I think once you clear up the orange peel issue and fix some spots like the sunroof panel and above the passenger door handle, you'll be all set! I seriously think it's worth the time to fix the orange peel. It really would make the car spectacular.

South Park's General Lee orange paint thread

Looks really sweet from where I'm sitting. I have to admit, I'm kinda jealous. Did BMW ever offer a similar color from the factory? There's an E30 around here that's almost the exact same shade of orange.

Custom color, yes, but not standard. They offered "Colorado" (orange) on the 2002ti's back in the '70s.

They sure had a some weird names for colors, too. That bright lemon-lime chartreuse that they put on E9s was called "Golf"!

On the e30 there was a short period of time when BMW offered orange as a factory color. http://www.bimmers.com/m3/hennarot/

But for the e36 BMW never offer orange. That is why I chose orange.

Hennarot is more of a red than an orange, but it looks pretty orange in photos. They had Inka Orange on the 2002s, and then the e92 M3 Lime Rock is sold only in Fire Orange, which is pretty close to General Lee orange.

The E30 that I saw wasn't an M3. but it was definitely orange. I'll grab a pic next time I see it in the daylight.

If it was not a M3, it could easily be a respray.
