Boris and Hans at the 'Ring

Looks like Schnitzer was on top in the GTR's practicing at the 'Ring a few weeks ago. There's some nice pictures of the cars and the guys from the Nurburgring Fansite. There was reference made to Boris on Sunday after the GA race about the 'Ring. I hope they did some very slow laps with dry ice on the oil cooler or they found another solution.

Steve, the 24 hours race at the 'Ring is between 10-13th June.

Alex, I wasn't sure initially what it was. I know the race is in June. I thought it was a practice, but could have been a preliminary qualifying? I'm looking forward to the race. If you see anything about live websites, like we had last year, please let me know.

They appear to have disabled remote image linking. View the pics from the site or copy and paste the URLs of the individual images into a new browser window and they seem to work just fine.

Apparently they don't want links to the individual pictures but don't mind to the page that shows the pictures. It's a very good site to know about anyway. I didn't realize that the Nurburgring 24 hour race is the same day as LeMans. Is that some kind of a statement?

I’m confused…so that was just practice that Boris was at a couple of weeks ago. I thought the announcer said that Boris and Hans had won the race. So, if it has not happened yet what is the date of the race? I wish that Hans were racing in the US this year. It’s not the same without him in PTG. One more thing… does anyone know if they are going to air the 24 hour of Nuburgring on Speed?

Maybe Alex can explain if it's considered a practice heat or something. I am confused also. I don't know whether it was a qualifying event or a race.

Steve,

the whole event is called BFGoodrich (10 races), which is a series built around the 24 hours race. The BMW team won the first two heats.

AFAIK, the works teams won't enter the other races of the rest of the season after the 24 hours race on the 'Ring.

Oh, I got my copy of the Tribute to Senna DVD yesterday. I've only watched the first one. Very good and well done.
