E39 (1997 - 2003)

E39 Asc light

i have my 98 528i and my ASC light went on everything else was off. everything on my car works fine it's not giving me the problem at all, so i wondering does anyone why my Asc light is on

Does the asc motor self test when you turn the ignition on? Is the cable from the asc motor to the intake still conected? And did you check the fuses?

I had the ASC light once, i had to clear it with a scaner, but no codes were found. Try that or it could be your ASC module is out, it is under the dash i think. It is not the ABS or a wheel sensor because that would light up the ABS.ASC and red light for the brakes on the dash.
