Looking good evanwest94. Inspiring me to get my hood fixed asap. I assume your not doing the body work yourself?

Re: Show off your E39 post pics!!!

I'm not doing it myself, I work at a shop but not a body shop. I'm glad i inspired you haha, my buddy works at the shop that's doing the work so I get photo updates when I ask haha but here's as it sits right now. I get to pick it up later on tonight. The wheels are pretty dirty but that'll be taken care of

Saw an e39 530i in my school's parking lot today. I nearly cried at the condition of this thing. Paint was faded into nothing, the front bumper impact strips were gone, and it was an automatic.

You know you can restore the headlights with a 3M kit. You can find 'em at most auto parts stores. It should contain a drill attachment, various grits of sandpaper and a polish pad. I can vouch for it working since I've redone the same headlights. Just be sure to take out the headlights, which is really simple. It prevents messing up your paint and allows you to do a better job of the restoration.

+1 Also if you want the restoration to last longer, finish it off with a few coats of UV resistant Clear Coat. My grandpa's Dodge Ram sits outside in the Florida sun all day and the lights still look like new after having this procedure done five years ago.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I know what I'm doing this weekend! I think the tougher part is going to be deciding on springs/shocks.

New hood and exhaust tips.
I want new wheels but not sure what to get. It's either the M6 wheels 19" or Mpars 18" I'm at a loss on which will look better on the car.

Uhm... is it supposed to be a 7 series clone? I would get the M6 wheels and ditch the headlight covers. Your car looks too busy. But hey, that's just my opinion. Do what makes you happy.
