Smile Engine rebuild

As a long time specialist on BMW 635 csi engines I must strongly advise you to do the following mod to save premature camshaft wear, Remove both of the camshaft oil spray bar banjo's and get a local machine shop to mill a 2 mm groove around the area where the three oil outlet holes are because the problem is is that not all of the outlet holes can or will line up with the axis of the camshaft spray bar so it will starve parts of the camshaft of oil, Please believe me a handfull of $ will save you an expensive camshaft replacement, I've carried out this mod hundreds of times on BMW m20 and m30 engines, Peter.

Oil leaking out of oil pan on my 1985 635csi

I found a super nice 635csi that had been siting for 10 years and bought it for 500.00, It had a broken fuel line and after replacement it started right up. A little lifter noise but other than that it runs great, I repalced or repaired all that was worng like lights and rotors and brakes. I finally finished installing a universial temp gage last night and took it for a test drive. Drove great but when I got home oil was running out of the gasket of the oil pan. Any ideas on what I should do. Can you get the oil pan out with out removing the engine. Do you think I should run a engine flush through and change oil and add a seal swelling addative to see if I can get it to stop. It runs so good I hate to pull the motor at this point. Thanks for any help.
