Transmission slippage with BRAKE/ABS/DSC lights

The transmission is "slipping" on occasion particularly on a hill climb. The trans fluid is OK. On the same 200 mile trip the Brake/ABS/DSC lights came on. Owner Manual wisdom is to take the car to the dealer but I am in the mtns of VT. I am seeing some suggestions to disconnect the battery to reset the warning lights. Could these two issues be coincidental or interrelated? These issues are holding me back from heading up to Alchemist Brewery.....

You need to have the truck scan and tell us what the trouble codes are. Could be as simple as a wheel sensor going bad or the ABS module. If it was me, I would just rent a car and leave the truck behind until you find out what the problems are. Towing the truck back will probably be more costly then just renting a car.

Got a scan which indicated faulty brake light switch(rear). Replaced it and so far the numerous electrical issues are behind me. Ahhh BMW electronics!
