Take it to the limit - one more time...

So after long thought and ups and downs i decided to get another GT versus getting a Tesla.

Here are some pics of her with new Ceramic tint installed today.

Details: Alpine White / M Sport Package / 20 inch M Wheels / etc.

Gorgeous!

The M Sport really sets it off, the alpine white looks great, and the 303 wheels look fantastic on the Gran Turismo!

Congrats!
Chris

I saw a Tesla the other day and it priced out the same as a 2014 GT. Why did you stay with a GT?

Looks great! A return customer... that speaks well of the GT. I hope to have a similarly positive experience.

Really would want a dealer here in Atlanta. Closest is like Florida so. Not optimal for me.

Sharp looking ride. Well done.

I too would like to know what swayed your decision, just for interest's sake.

Just would feel better knowing there was a dealership in the area. Elon Musk says he is opening around 50 more show rooms over the next 1-2yrs, so by the time i get ready for one, i am sure there will be a dealer in Atlanta.

Did you guys watch Musk and his presentation on the Tesla Model X? I showed my family the video of the car and its Falcon wings. They were not impressed and that's why we have our GT. Besides, I want to see how these things hold up over the next few years. I do think that this is the way of the future and I will be driving a Tesla within 10 years...

I saw that too. I was surprised at what a lousy presenter he is. The case for the model X was right out of the GT playbook I felt. Same line of reasoning and the shapes are very similar as the Model X designers came to the same conclusions that Weil and the other BMW designers did the GT.

Yup, he was not polished. But I give him a pass for a young multibillionaire...
And yup, the Model X and GT lines are pretty similar and that's why I paused (briefly) to consider the Tesla. But it's too early now. I can wait for all the kinks to be worked out.

That's not a lack of polish, that's a lack of skill.

Great color combo...does it have the uprated 445HP engine on it?

I'm probably going to get a 2014 next year when my current lease expire, first car I actually want to own twice.

Btw just looked at the tesla model X pics...Am I the only one that thinks the back end looks like the bastard child of a GT and Subaru Impreza?

Did you copy my idea difusor and little strips on the side mirrors in carbon foil?
Can't see it in the small pictures.

If so, there is one driving in Germany and yours around the planet then

Edit: Oh, itīs ceramic. Cewl!!

I have a 2010 GT and also a Tesla in my name-my brother actually drives it. He has put 13,000 miles on it in 7 months. It is the best driving and riding car I have seen. They do have a service center in Marietta and a sales center soon.

I like my GT because I have every safety feature on it and it has saved me from accidents several times. The Tesla has none of these features yet. Plus the GT has more interior space-especially the back seats!
