A BMW hiding behind a Japanese car color.

I bought Mineral White since it's my wifes car, but I really wanted your Valencia.

The shirt is actually a little brighter orange - good eye

Thanks, loving the color as does my artist wife. The gloss black bits on the exterior do go well with the orange, and I went with aluminum trim on the inside instead of the gloss black there to lighten things up a bit.

I can be really picky and suffer from "shoulda" disease. So far I'm really impressed with this car and wouldn't change a thing. We have a road trip today so we'll have some more time in it. It's funny because the loaner 328i I had had the comfort access and full power seats (though not sport seats). Also the auto off was a bit rough. I pick up the X1 and my CA points out that I need to insert the fob (which I like better - the comfort thing was weird to me), and then I'm adjusting the seats and they are manual (I thought the sport seats were all power) - which was actually a bonus because I prefer manual seat adjustment. And the auto off actually is fairly smooth so triple win.

Did you consider the terra brown interior rather than black? I'm thinking that's what I would order if I got the Valencia. Of course it requires xline rather than sport; have to think about the loss of sport seats...

Sport seats are non-negotiable for me. I wouldn't buy the car without them. I opted for leatherette to save money and because I think it feels fine and will hold up well.

Color is something I can live with or without. Sport seats are a functional part of the vehicle rather than cosmetic imho. There are three points of contact when you're driving - your hands, your feet, and your butt. Of those, most of the mass is in the seat, and it has by far the largest direct contact. When I go around a corner, I want to be held in place as best as possible.

Preachin to the choir here.

My black leatherette M sport seats work great with the staggered 9 x18 Pirelli P7's traction.

I can get the steering and seat adjusted just right for my tall frame, and pull some g forces.

Yes, we love it. Do not care what other people think, to be honest. Bright, cheerful and unique. What's not to like? Except if you want to hide!!

Just a quick update some 800+ miles into ownership. Short story - love this car. There isn't a single thing I would change about the spec, or really even the design of the car. When the cupholders are your biggest "complaint" you know they're doing something right.

Assuming she proves reliable (knock on wood), I'll buy this in a heartbeat at the end of the lease. It is that good of a fit for my wants/needs.

And we finally got my wife a new car. We kept her '02 Tacoma, but this is what it looks like in front of the house now. Orange and green in a sea of silver

I'm not a fan of VO. It's a love/hate color IMO. However, I had a VO X1 3.5i loaner last week while my Min. White X1 was getting serviced. In the 3 days I had that VO loaner, I was approached by 3 people(separate occasions) asking me about it...not necessarily about the color, but about the car in general.
I've yet to have anyone ask me about my Min. White that I've had since last December. That says something...not sure what...but something!

Congrats! Looking to place an order soon for an almost exact same set-up (great minds think alike ). VO with Sport Line, CWP, LP and HK. Still thinking on adding TP. I have the Gloss Black trim but after seeing your pics, will get the Al trim instead. Can't wait
