May the COLUMN it FREE you

G'day FOLKS,

Me again with another query to an old reply I asked many many moons backs..... It seems that I am still having a BA5TARD of a time with the steering column being in the ALL OUT position making for a squeeze to get into and driving the car.... I have since stripped the covers from the column and found the once hidden lever...... pulling lever towards the wheel allows for marginal slop and pushed towards pedals locks it in place.... in the diagram of the exploded view of the column..... SUSPECT #1 is the culprit of the problem as I am being informed some time back..... now is this an opposite thread to release or normal, this MONGREL is tight as and any info as to how to loosen would be helpful.... use of CRC & WD40 still will not let it go????????

Thanks

Stephen
