X6 E71 / E72 (2008 - 2014)
The BMW X6 luxury crossover went on sale in April 2008 as a 2009 model year. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The E71 X6 was built off the E70 X5 (2007 - 2013) platform at BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Total worldwide sales were just over 235,000, sold mostly to the BRIC countries. US total sales was 34,082 vehicles.

7 Pin Wiring Schematic on BMW Hitch

I am trying to ascertain what the wiring diagram is for an installed BMW Hitch 7 pin connector. There were no sheets left with the vehicle after they installed the BMW Hitch and 7 pin connector with the factory wiring. Tried on line to no avail and dealer not much help either. I want to make sure that when I hook up our travel trailer to the BMW the wiring from BMW 7 Pin & Trailer 7 Pin are compatible. We also just got the BMW Brake Controller installed and we did not have to loos a cup holder. They mounted it on the left under the headlight control switches....Serv Mgr said there was plenty of wire to run it to that location.
Thanks for any help
