Anyone from LA here?

As the topic says really

I'm visiting LA from the 24th Sept - 1st October for a short holiday and to see the League of Legends World Championship Semi Finals.

Was wondering if anyone from here is from the area and could recommend anywhere nice to eat or things to do?

Also I will have my laptop with me which has the BMW coding/diagnostic software on it if anyone wants anything coded

Cool

I'm a big fan of Italian food but also don't mind going to a few more typical American places!

Sorrento's Fine Italian Foods
2428 S Western Ave
San Pedro, CA 90732

I would have to recommend the steak but get it Italian style ,
it's delicious at Domenick's

28360 S Western Ave
San Pedro, CA 90275
(310) 831-0881

if you like burritos , tacos , rice the only place I can recommend that I know you would enjoy is Isacc's
I guarantee you will not be disappointed with there Carne asada burrito .

632 N Fries Ave
Wilmington, CA 90744

if you prefer sea food then the only place to go is Port's of call fish market .
You pick your shrimp , lobster , crab ,
fish or whatever you want form there display . Then you have them cook
it for you . I would have to recommend large shrimp cleaned tell them you
want it cooked & you also want a couple garlic breads , lemons & maybe
a couple lobster tails . here is a pic I took last week when we went .
they cook the shrimp with potatoes , tomatoes , & lots of other stuff
Oh ya & you can't pass up there 66 once Coronas .

San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant

I hope you enjoy your trip, too bad you can't bring your car!

These are in downtown or nearby. There are also many great places in Little Tokyo to eat and have drinks but I think we have given you so many options that I don't want to overwhelm you lol. I love restaurants with a nice view so I'll start with the first two.

Dinner:
LA Prime steakhouse (dressy)
404 South Figueroa LA, 90071 (located within the Bonaventure hotel, take the red elevator to the 35th floor. Free valet with validation, two hours if I'm not mistaken)
My favorite place for prime rib and has a rotating bar/lounge below the restaurant. They also have a massive wine list.

Dinner:
Takami Sushi and Robata (trendy)
811 Wilshire Boulevard. LA, 90017. $7 Valet parking on Lebanon street. Enter the 811 building and take the elevator up to the restaurant.
You don't come to LA to eat sushi but this place has a nice view and outdoor patio dining. This is great this time of year right before it starts getting cold at night. It also has a nightclub that you can access through the restaurant.

Lunch:
Phillipe's French Dip (casual)
1001 North Alameda Street LA, 90012
The best beef dip sandwich is where it was invented IMO. Cash only although there is an ATM inside.

Lunch:
King Torta (casual)
4507 Valley Boulevard LA, 90032
This place has the best carne asada tortas and great super nachos. Just ask them to hold off on the guacomole with the super nachos or they will "pile" it on.

Lunch:
Cha Cha Chili (casual)
4625 Valley Boulevard LA, 90032
This is a good place for Mexican/Korean fusion. They make a good Kalbi (Korean short rib) BBQ burrito. Ask them to put the chili on the side unless you are really good with spicy food.

To do:
Petersen Automotive Museum
6060 Wilshire Boulevard LA, 90036
The best auto museum in LA for anyone who is not friends with Jay Leno.

I would have loved to have known about these places when I travel there for work. Man, I'm going to have to store some of these in my phone.
