Very rough idle!

Yeah, I know, vacuum leaks. Intake gaskets already done. 02 sensors are all new, Temp senders are new, No engine light on and no stomp test readings. It was really running like crap! Intermittent 02 reading, then nothing.

I filled the tank with fresh gas and the problem went away. So, water in the gas? Anybody run into this before? It's a first time for me.

my 530 will not idle and try to stall out if im low on gas(fumes because i was too lazy to fill her up the night before) and it hasnt been started for a night. Mine will throw a check engine light for a few seconds but come right off. Never bothered me enough to look further into it because it only happens when im on fumes and i have to fix other people's junk, never have time for my own lol

Rough idle in a V8? No, unheard of.

Is the fuel pump original? Certainly the intermittent CEL suggests fuel-air mix out of balance.

I'd start shopping for a new pump. Mine died at 200K and required a tow home. The tow was nearly the cost of a new pump.
