Iphone5 and spotify

Hi
i've just got delivery of my new car turns out if doesn't have enhanced bluetooth

How can i stream music from my premium spotify acount to the car, it has both Media pack professional ans Sat Nav pro too?
I have tried using the BMW Y cable to play spotify but it cuts out after a second or two to playing itunes

Does any one know if the enhanced blue tooth option can be retrofited? and if so could i then play spotify using this?
Thanks
U

Make sure you check the "audio" option box in idrive for you phone. It must have only "telephone" box checked. I have an 2011 so your idrive might be setup a little different - look for options when connecting your phone via bluetooth

OP. get the BMW IPhone Y cable and connect it to both the USB and AUX ports. Get the apple 30 pin to lightning adapter.

Then use this:http://amzn.com/B007QIXSVM

I had this problem for a while where it would start changing the song randomly (spotify + Y cable, non streaming package), but with the latest ios7 update, it seems to have resolved itself.

^^try closing the "music" app when this happens.
Or, try having the spotify app open/playing when you connect the phone.

I've tried closing (double click home key and actually shut down the iPod app) yet it still turns itself on when using spotify. I've just chosen to connect via Bluetooth and charge via cigarette lighter.

When connected via usb, ive tried closing iPhones music app also and it just re-opens.
The only way i know of to play spotify is to connect iphone 5 via bluetooth.
