Z4 3.0 with 13,750 miles and no service yet

My Z4 3.0 has 13,750 miles and it has never been serviced, not even an oil change, I believe the BMW service intervals are way to long.

However, I have changed the oil faithfully every 3000 miles.

My service interval didn't came up either... but I still took my Z4 in for oil change at 7000 miles... ..my BMW dealer call it a low mileage service ... I would consider taking the car in for an oil change...it doesn't hurt.. and plus you already pay for the maintenance in a way..

mine has approx. 7500 miles and the oil has been changed at least 5 times

hmm, i could be wrong about this, but its my understanding that its not best to change synthetic oil too frequently. i recall hearing that 5k intervals are good

I'd rather be accused of changing the oil too often than not often enough. I've seen the inside of enough of the engines that I've built myself to appreciate frequent oil changes.

Can you say "zero sludge?"

My M Rdstrs see 4500 mile intervals because it just works out (roughly half the BMW interval). Once the Healey gets on the road, the interval will be 2500 miles or annually. The McCulloch will get fresh oil with(in) every tank of fuel

seeing hw my car spends most of it's running time either during cold startup or WOT I doubt that's the case

I'm on my second oil and filter but mine is a high mileage monster
If I'm not careful I will have more posts here then miles
