Updating the Navigation CD in a 2003 X5 4.6is

I just replaced the sun burned LCD screen that was in my X5, after seeing the graphics and out dated maps, I want to upgraded it. I have a 2003 X5 4.6is the last 7 of the VIN are LN81165 it has a factory installed navigation system. I'm not sure of the type, can someone please inform me of how to figure out what type of system I have. My next question is will the updated CD give the screen updated graphics, or give the system new features? Can anyone recommend a site that supplies the Updated CD's at a better price then the dealer. Thank you for taking the time to read my long post, have a blessed day.
