Should I order DHP on my 428x build?

Is it worth it?

With x drive, yes, most definitely. Unless you drive it without dhp and are perfectly fine with the soft suspension.

The xDrive has the softest suspension. Soft suspension + 10 mm higher is a top heavy coupe. Pay the $1K and get DHP, take it from someone who has the xDrive thinking that getting the sport xDrive would come with the stiffer suspension as the RWD does, oops.

If you don't I can' almost see it in the future. You will be starting a thread on how BMW has lost its way and you got a Camry instead of a BMW

In all seriousness, is the best 1k you will ever spend on a car, especially since you are getting an x-drive.

YES. I have it and love it eventhough I do not have the X drive. Couldnt imagine the car without it... well ... I could but I would cry.

I bought my 328xi off the lot and DHP was no where to be found. Beware - many on Bimmerfest exaggerate how bad the standard suspension is - I have to drive in the mountains on roads in various states of repair - overall I find my 328xi to be a compliant faithful friend but if given the option to have DHP for only $1000 - that's a no brainer - a few bucks for a big reward. If you have the time to order, I think it is unconscionable that you might forgo DHP. BTW I have DHP in my X3 3.5 M Sport and I find it nicely enhances the sporty nature of the vehicle.

The car is for my wife, RWD doesn't make sense for the winter.

You probably should get it. It's unanimous that everyone who tries it says they love it. On a lease it adds about $30 a month on a three year term and about $18 a month to your payment on a 60 month buy. Depending on how much you put down and finance or lease term. It's a small price to pay to not regret getting DHP.

Actually, I think it's less on a lease. I got 15k lease and at a 60% residual, it's about 400 extra during the lease term plus tax and interest

I have a question regarding the DHP. What is the "default" and does it reset each time you start the car? I wouldn't mind having it on the 435I that I'm going to order, but I don't like the idea of having to put it in Sport or Sport+ mode each time I start it.
