Mineral Gray or Alpine White

I am ordering a 428xi M sport and can not decide between mineral gray or alpine white. Please help me out here. The interior is going to be beige regardless of the exterior color. Thanks

You're in Orlando? Why xDrive? It's an extra $2,000.

I prefer AW, but Mineral Grey looks really good, too.

I need the xdrive as I am currently living in Boston for college. Does the alpine scratch easily or is it hard to maintain?

I live in Chicago with RWD and winter tires. Do you do a lot of winter driving?

I'd pick Mineral Grey, it has this glitter that Alpine White lacks. Mineral Grey w/ Beige interior is actually one of the combos I'm interested in if I were to buy an M Sports.

Alpine White is one of the easiest colors to maintain. It actually will hide minor scratches better than a darker color like Mineral.

Alpine White is much better with the Beige. Mineral Grey is better with Black or Oyster, the Grey and Beige clash IMHO.

Honestly Mineral Grey is so common now that your car wont really stand out. I got Alpine White on my F30 and do not regret my decision at all.

I wish bimmerfest had better options to post pictures cuz I am still unable to figure out how to

Mineral Gray or Alpine White

Mineral gray with red interior is not common for a sports model.

I know its not on your list of choices but I just picked up a mineral white 2014 328 yesterday and its my handsdown favorite color yet. Traded in a mineral gray for it.

I haven't seen a single chick driving a white BMW. Very rear case. They same to prefer red and black more.

Mineral Gray or Alpine White

+1 for the Mineral Grey and beige. But I'm biased, my F31 which is being built as I type this is configured that way. I think it looks good in the F31 but maybe not in a F30. But everybody's tastes are different.

Alpine white looks fantastic when clean, but its going to require more work to maintain than grey.
Mineral white is very interesting and not that common; will hide dirt better than Alpine, but still
requires more frequent cleaning than a dirt hiding color.

Thanks guys your comments have been extremely helpful. Seems like I am going to go with the Alpine white. Does it hold up during love bug season?

Not really. Black is by far the most popular color for a 3 series and my guess is sliver and red are popular as well as AW.

Wasn't talking about bmw. In general Grey has started to get pretty common since the past 2 years. The silver looks really nice on 3er too

Fair enough. However I don't recommend people choose colors based on standing out but on what they like. My incoming F30 is Mineral Grey and my current E90 in Blue Water which doesn't exactly stand out but is uncommon and to me looks great. I think MG looks fantastic on an F30.

Color preference (along with perception) is totally subjective. Just get what you like. Get what is going to make you smile when you see it every day!!

The bugs show big time, but you can use a waterless wash product to get them off quickly. It won't harm the paint. Alpine is the easiest paint to look after that I've had in 35 years of car ownership.
