In my so far limited experience, yes. I don't think that EPS can ever duplicate a hydraulic system due to the limitations of an electric motor vs a hydraulic pump. I've driven m F30 Sport Line in Sport mode and if I recall it's still lighter and a bit sterile compared to my HPS car. My memory is a bit foggy as this was a few months ago.

I drove my friend's 13 335i M sport 6MT and steering felt good compare with 328i base model.

But if you buy an E90, don't go to that forum. They will tell you the suspension is harsh and you should have gotten an E46. The value of these forums is dropping really fast...
Under all the weight, that bandwagon must be perilously near the ground...the body roll must be hell through the curves!

But anyways, anyone thought of this or is thinking about it?
I am surprise nobody mention the steering feel of F30 328ix/335ix. I think they still have hydraulic steering. I have driven e46 328i for 10 years and now I am driving F30 328i M-Sport. I have also driven E90 328i M-Sport for some time. Out of the three , I like the steering of my e46 the best. Other than the steering, I prefer F30 over e46 and E90. I think F30 xdrive may has the best of both worlds. Would like know F30 xdrive owners' opinion on the steering issue.

xDrive has EPS, too. It's been discussed here a time or two....or a thousand.

I have a 2013 335i xDrive M Sport with MT & DHP. I don't have any problems with my steering, and that's even though I came from an E90. It's definitely "lighter" except in sport mode, but just as accurate, and I have the same steering confidence in turns and curves.
