Car jerking before stopping

Hi, new to this forum. I have a problem with my 530xi. I recently replaced my battery, even since then I have been having this jerking movements before the car comes to a complete stop. I took it to the shop and they told me that it was a system problem so they reset it but it is still jerking. Any ideas as why this might be happening. I wanna say it could be a transmission problem because when I switch from automatic to manual I dont have this problem. I need some HELP please

From what u described it sounds like 2nd to 1st gear surge. When my trany did this I had the dealer update the transmission and it fixed the problem ,

Mine does the same thing, its really the only issue I have found... Going from 2nd to 1st gear to stop, the MPG gauge is pegged to 12, then right as I stop it idles down and drops to 50 on the MPG. Feels like the car is going to lunge forward before I stop. I also found driving manual fixes it. I should have the dealer drop an update and see if that fixes anything.
