E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

E30 Downpipe

Did a search and can't find much on this.

So I pulled off my exhaust manifolds to change the gaskets/ heat shields on my 325i. After I got them out I discovered that my flex on the downpipe was only held on by one side. A. Is this normal (can't imagine it is) and b. does anyone sell new downpipes to replace this or should I just go used?

When I say it is only held on by one side, you can just push the whole pc over.

Thanks in advance.

E30 Downpipe

Thanks for the reply. So from what I can tell I have 2 choices. Either replace the cat which comes with the whole pipe and flex or go with something like the ie shorty headers which I would end up cutting that part out to install.

Since both are around the same cost, is there any advantage to one over the other?

Engine is stock at this point and is a daily driver.

Thanks.

if you want to do something like this is youll either replace the cat with aftermarket and do a y-pipe into it, or do dual pipe all the way back into 2-1 muffler/2-2 muffler/ 2 single mufflers with glass packs.
