Sway bar slipping off? 1985 323i

So I've been driving my 85 323i for a while now, and I've noticed this has happened twice.

When I bought the car, I'm unsure if it was on or not, however, because the exhaust kept scraping at in funny circumstances I thought I'd have a look to see if something was wrong, the sway/stabiliser bar has slipped off. Which makes my rear left hand side loose and gives me heaps of body roll. I've had to put it on twice, and only that side has been affected, has anyone got any ideas about what could cause this or how to remedy it? I don't really feel like pulling off e wheel and forcing it back on every 10000km or whatever it takes.

The photo is after I've refitted it.

The car handles really well when this isn't playing up and it drives like a real pig when it's off,
I appreciate any help I'm given.

Thank you.

You need a new set of sway bar drop links. They should be VERY tight on the sway bar end.
