2014 x3 35i purchase question: what's the proper price?

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum but already liked this place!! So I'm about to have a final negotiation with the dealer next week and I'm not sure what is a proper offer that I'm gonna insist on.

Okay, my packages and options would be :
deepsea blue 35i
leather seats
m sport package
Driver assistant package
Navigation

And the MSRP is 53925. The dealer offered 1600 off last time but I haven't agree on that. How much should I offer and insist on? I certainly don't want put a smile on his face but also not make ridiculous offer as well.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

P.S. Can I get a OEM running board on x3?

Thanks a lot guys!

Go to one of the sites that will tell you the invoice price of an X3 configured exactly the way that you want. Once you know the invoice price, negotiate up from there (some say from below there), rather than down from sticker.

There is no OEM running board for the F25.

FWIW - I got 6.5% off MSRP right when the 2014 came out in April/May and I ordered mine as well. You may do a little better than that now?

I'd say to aim at about $500 over the invoice or so. Make sure that any rebates/credits you qualify for are applied after that. Looks like right now, loyalty is still available, and they also have $750 option credit.

Also, I think they just (October 1) increased the base price, so you need to take this into account

It's gonna be my first time buying a new car so I don't really know much about the market. Congrats on the discount, hopefully I'll get it as well.

Definitely go to BMWConfig.com and get the US invoice price from there. $500 over invoice should certainly be doable before any rebates/credits.

I got 7.25% off msrp which equates to invoice before ultimate drive, loyalty and turn key

Base rate and 56% residual payment on a car msrp if. 58,000 is 680

What's ultimate drive, option credit? I never heard this before. I have placed an order, but would like to know if I'm eligible to any. The turn key credit is available for trade-in, right?

2014 x3 35i purchase question: what's the proper price?

I paid $390 above invoice. No ultimate drive event for me as it wasn't out when I purchased my car. I got alittle over ~8% off MSRP. Special order. But the savings was all thrown out the window as I purchased the tire and wheel warranty. I think it was worth it. But that's another topic.

I would suggest emailing all of your local dealers within 100miles from you and see if they can beat the lowest price. It also helps if you do it 1week before month end as they do have to meet their quotas. If u can find one off the lot you maybe able to get it even cheaper!

The ultimate drive is a test drive event hosted by BMW each year, you get a $1000 credit for attending the event. The option credit is BMW's credit toward any option you buy on a new car, almost like a factory incentive except you have to finance with BMW, you can refinance anytime after you purchase. The turn key credit is for leasing a new BMW.

I just bought a X3 35i in CT, got about 8% off MSRP, but you need to add about $500 for MACO and training fee.

Related question - my ultimate drive credit expires 10/31/13, to utilize it, is it enough to place an order by then, or I would actually need to take delivery by then?

Actually I am not sure if MACO and training were present when we were buying the X3, but I meant $500 total above the "clean" invoice anyway.

I believe you have to take delivery by 10/31/13.

MACO and training is a regional thing, not sure if they have it in Texas.

Always negotiate on a car up from invoice. Never down from MSRP.

OK, thanks. I guess I'll loose that, probably can't even make up my mind on what I'm ordering by then! After the actual ultimate drive event I was almost sure about X1, but now, not so much..

We look at the X1 as well, it drives like a dream, but we just cannot get pass the decade old interior and the 6 speed transmission on the X1 35i. The cup holder situation remind me of our old E90 as well as the whole interior layout.

I was thinking about the xdrive 28i to get the 8 speed and the old steering. But as good as the 8 speed was I was still wondering if I wanted auto. And now, they want to "servotronic" as part of base. I haven't even tried it yet but I heard not so good things about it.

The xdrive 28i that I tested really drove like a dream, I never noticed the cap holder situation!

Hi,
I am new to the forum. I just paid 45.6K for White X3 -28xi (2014) with following packages
1. Premium
2. Cold weather package
3. Driver assistance package
4. Technology package
5. Lighting package
6. Wood Trim (interior)

As I could not find base invoice price for X3 anywhere at webpage. I am not sure whether I paid too much ...any thought ?

Thanks
Anil
