E46 330i low mpg and loss of power & grunt

I have an E46 330i 2003, I noticed within a week:

1. a slight drop in power
2. a change in rumble/grunt
3. a drop in mpg from 18 to 14
4. softer steering wheel

Is it me or something has gone wrong in the last week.

You need to find someone with a code reader (even an inexpensive one will work, available online for les than $30 USD), and scan the codes for faults. After you do that, post the results here, and we might be able to help you.

I'm a newbie and hoping these can be translated into English. These are what the diagnosis came up with:

123: Activation, map cooling
241: misfire, cylinder 4
238: misfire, cylinder 1
124: Activation, solenoid valve, intake manifold (DISA)
226: Function, oxygen sensor control after cat., bank 2
236: Function, oxygen sensor control before cat. conv., bank 2
204: Plausibility, idle speed (leakage air)
8: signal air-mass flow sensor

You need to replace the DISA and the MAF first. At least, that is what I'd do (and recently DID do on my car). Only difference was I had a SUBSTANTIAL loss in power, it wasn't in any way subtle.
