Cleaning!

So i was looking at my car and i realized that the previous owner wasnt caring much for the cars interior. So i started cleaning away.

After a good 20 minutes into it i noticed that all the dirt and all wasnt coming cometely off.. I kept on cleaning the car some more and same result. (Keep in mind i had finished a 12 pack of beers before the process)

I didnt see a difference so my angry mexican ghetto guy took over me and reach for brush with nylon bristles( if thats how you can describe it)

I started scrubing away applying the leather cleaner. ( ran out of all my other cleaners) i know you guys are thinking, "Wtf why u scrubbing the **** out of your interior" but it all payed of.

I whiped an area and i saw that my panel was actually "Grey". I was like thank you hidden angry ghetto mexican.

The left side is the one i scrubbed. I did about 3 minutes then cleaned. To top it off no damage of any sort and i can actually feel that the surface is smooth, conditioned and clean.

Dude! You went chupacabra on it?

Looks good. You probably buffed off the oxidized plastic. Hit it with Vinylex. Has sunblock in it. Good stuff.

Nothing wrong with a good scrubbing! Gets the job done, and BMW seem to make the interior pretty hardy. I have been spring cleaning mine. There were coke stains or something under the seat and in the footwells, once the seats were out a good scrubbing with Baking Soda, Vinegar and Water put the carpets back to new! Amazing. Nice job on yours, that left side looks crisp now!

I'm going to bet your rear parcel shelf is actually black but has faded from UV exposure to grey. I just don't see why BMW would make the shelf grey and the rest of the interior black.

Anyway I wanted to mention 303 Aerospace. It's a great UV inhibtor and vinyl/rubber protectant. I use it on vinyl all the time. It's also a decent tire dressing.
