E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

New buyer

I'm looking to buy a used 2008/2009 135i and I have a few questions. Generally, I want a hard top with less than 50k miles and a manual transmission. What price tag should I expect for this and what packages (if any) should I be looking out for?

Depends on the area. I just got one like a week ago. I live in Hawaii where an 08 will go for 27-32k. I purchased mine from a dealer in Sacramento, CA and spent 22k on an 08 fully loaded with only 41k miles on it. Cars in Texas are super cheap as well. Look around and dont be afraid to ship one. Often, the car will be cheaper than if you were to buy in areas, say, like, Hawaii where cars are marked up 10k more.

Yeah the dealer was real helpful and sent me all the papers to get it shipped. I knew which company I was going to ship with so its just a matter of getting the car from A to B. I know to get one trucked over from Texas is about 600.

Oh thats great then, would I only find these places through a dealership or can I search for a trucking company online?

You can search a shipping company online. Also there is a website that you put what you want shipped and all the shipping companies for the area will bid against eachother to ship your car. I think, and i could be wrong, its called uship.
