flat towing

I have a 1972 2002 Bimmer and want to tow it behind my motorhome. Has anyone done this before? I'd like to tow it flat and not have to use a tow-dolly.

Thanks for any advise

Hi John, it was suggested to me by 2002AD in Los Angeles to do that too. I was hoping to find another owner who uses their '02 as a towable behind an RV. I suppose the driveshaft disconnect is going to be difficult to find for my car. Thanks for the suggestion, Lori

You would physically detach/remove the drive shaft for safest transport. I guess you could remove the half shafts instead, but it's still a lot of work to attach everything when it's time to use the car at your destination.

John, thanks again but it's sounding like I better rethink my tow-car.......would have been great to take the ole girl out on the roads.
