E82 / E87 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

Convertible exhaust suggestions?

Need help, I would like to change out the axel back exhaust on my 135 convertible, auto. Not sure what systems will have less droning, currently running a Berk street axel back, the unit is great but theres droning at cruise speed (2000-2200 rpm), and there fitment issues with additional bracing of a convertible. I'm gonna slap the OE exhaust back up this weekend and prob post up the berk forsale. Considering the BMW performance exhause. Anyone with a suggestions, well appriciated!

I have the BMW performance exhaust on my 135i- Expensive but sounds great-NO droning! Easy install-requires one pipe cut and then bolts up easily! Measure-mark-cut-bolt up-enjoy! The SS tubing is soft and cuts easily with a standard exhaust tubing cutter.

You can use spacers to lower the convertible cross-brace on the drivers side rear for additional clearance, which is what I've done on my 2013 135i convertible with the Berk Race (muffler delete) cat-back.

The BMW Performance exhaust is more expensive than most of the others but its a solid choice. It sounds great on all the cars we have installed it on including the 128i. Its a nice fitment as well and offers a nice pair of tips to round out the look from the back
