Replace Door Pulls

Has anyone replaced door pulls on 03 x5? do you need to take the door panel off?

Thanks.

You'd have more response if we can understand the question. Door pulls?

The interior handle when you open and close your door, fairly certain they are called door pulls. Mine are scratched and peeling and would love to replace them.

Thanks

why do you want to replace it? did you try to just removing the rubber and leave the rest glossy black I think it still looks good that way imo

if its the handle that has the rubber coating on it you do have to remove the door pannel ,but if its just peeling I would rub the rest of the rubber off and leave it.

I just had my panel off yesterday and on the above parts breakdown, part # 14, steel bracket holds your "door pull" i think it was a 10mm nut holding it on from the back. watch out for the lil led light plug in when you take the panel off its a short wire, not much wiggle room and breaks off easily. i googled a Youtube vid on door panel removal and watched a few to get the process but none mentioned the led
