My 2011 X3 recently (past 2-3 days) started to display low battery warnings.
Warnings I have seen so far:
Battery charge (currently the one I am seeing)
Ignition off switch to P (something like this)
High discharge (saw this only once)
I drive about 20-30 mins a day and the weather is 35-55F around here. After the first time I saw the warning, I took the car on a 3-4 hour round trip in stop and go traffic (to charge battery). The low battery warning would appear every time I shut off the engine, except during the return trip.
I did not see any warnings all of yesterday, but it appeared again this morning.
I have a USB with songs plugged in and do not keep my keys near my car when it is not in use.
The last time I saw this warning was last year. I noticed that the car would struggle to turn on when the battery was low. However, the car is having no issues turning on now. Could it just be a faulty message?
Would appreciate any insight on this matter. I will most likely schedule an appointment if this does issue does not go away tonight. Also, would the battery be covered under the warranty? :cry
