Any solution for the tiny/annoying sun visor (see pic)

Can we buy/retrofit some other sunvisor in a 2011 X5 35d. The one we have is tiny and the space on the side is so annoying.

HaHa! Experienced that yesterday driving. I have no idea why a 70k SUV does not have one that slides/extends?

Should have gotten a Kia, then better sunglasses with the monty saved? But, the Kia has an extendable sun shade, so no need....

By the way, I'm not really complaining. BMW is pretty good with the creature comforts. Try spending over 150k on a 911tt and explaining the basic features it lacks for the price!

Duct Tape, they've got designer colors & different animal prints to fit in with any interior!

Kia, had not thought of that as a solution. While I'm at it I'll get a Timex to replace the watch that stops if I don't wear it every day or put it in its winder, pull my next pair of jeans from a wood pallet at Costco, and go back to drinking white zin from the big bottle.

Tilt the sun visor closer to you to block the sun from that angle. Then raise your seat to avoid the sun hitting your eyes due to less coverage from the visor. I read that tip on Edmund's long term test of the X3. They too complained about BMW visor not having enough coverage.

I actually checked on that yesterday: when you rotate the visor by 90 degrees towards the door it will cover that gap.

No, by all means continue to enjoy your luxuries. I was just pointing out that an extendable sunshade is, and has been, standard issue on lower end brands for some time...

It does extend out, you just have to pull it out.

of course it does! Look at pic in first post.... This is the issue. That gap cannot be covered by extending the visor. It does not extend...
