X3 meets moose

On the way back to the cottage tonight when two moose ran into 2013 X3 ripping off the side mirror. Anyone know the price to have it replaced?

Had me going there -- I thought the OP was talking about London in the UK and I wondered how the Moose got over there........ The cost will be probably about 600 Loonies for the mirror I suspect.

Looks like $675 Canadian for the assembly. The glass and casing is fine. Not much consolation, though, as I discovered in daylight a dent in the fender that will need repair.
Wishing now that I had chosen a $500 deductible, instead of $1000

Angry Rear ended by a honda civic

My 2011 x3 35I was rear ended by a lady in a Honda civic on Monday afternoon when I was stopped at a red light. The hidden hitch(after market BMW installed) took most of the impact and the Honda crumpled up.
Have about 4500 dollars worth of damage to my X3 and glad I was driving it and not a smaller vehicle.
People just need to pay more attention and not get distracted by stuff when they are driving. She hit my vehicle twice and must have been doing close to 40 mph. I am upset, however, it could have been much worse. Glad I was driving a BMW SUV and can now vouch for its solid build.
